Uma capa fiz de meu canto
I made my song a coat
Debaixo acima
Covered whith embroideries
Bordada 
Out of old mythologies
De antigas mitologias;
From heel to throat
Tomaram-na os tolos
But the fools caught it.
Para exibíba ao mundo
Wore it in the world´s eyes
Como se por eles lavrada.
As though they´d wrought it
Deixa, canto, que a tomem,
Song, let them take it
Pois maior feito existe
For there´s more enterprise
Em andar nu.
